Patiala: Punjab State Electricity Board (PSEB) Chairman Y.S. Ratra on Thursday said that due to scattered rains in Punjab and reports of subdued activity in paddy sowing due to non availability of labour, the power demand has still not picked up to last year’s levels. Consumption of power on June 18 was recorded as 1237 Lakh Units (LUs) as compared to 1284 LUs on June 18 last year.
Mr. Ratra assured that PSEB will not impose any power cuts for the time being, . — PTI
