Laser treatment unit to be opened

PALAKKAD: The first Laser treatment unit in a district hospital in the State will be inaugurated at the Palakkad District Hospital here on Saturday by Health Minister P.K. Sreemathy.

District panchayat president Subida Isahaq told mediapersons that the newly-acquired Laser treatment unit would have state-of-the-art facilities.

An amount of Rs.85 lakh was spent from the Rashtriya Sam Vikas Yojana of the Central government and the District Hospital Development Fund for setting up the latest eye treatment facilities, she said.
