‘Rasta roko’ staged

CHAMARAJANAGAR: Members of Jai Karnataka outfit staged a “rasta roko” and formed a human chain at Bhuvaneshwari circle here on Thursday condemning the police firing on farmers in Haveri and protesting against shortage of fertilizers.

They raised slogans against the Government and sought compensation of Rs.10 lakh to the family of Siddalingappa Choori, who was killed in police firing.

They warned the Government that it would launch an agitation along with farmers if it failed to provide enough quantity of seeds and fertilizers.
