Corrections and clarifications

The heading of a report “Oil price due to fake considerations: Iran” (“International” page, June 18, 2008) was misleading as the fifth paragraph said “He observed that the spike [hike] in oil prices, which had touched nearly $140 a barrel on Monday before dropping to $134.61 was not due to a drop in supply, but on account of artificial considerations.” It was not the whole price as such.

It is the policy of The Hindu to correct significant errors as soon as possible. Please specify the edition (place of publication), date and page.
