Two-week-long festival at Spencer’s hypermarket

Special fare: The Thai food festival which opened at Spencer’s hypermarket in Koramangala, Bangalore on Thursday.

BANGALORE: Exquisite Thai delights are in store for Bangaloreans with the Thai food festival kicking off at Spencer’s Retail Ltd., where a Thai atmosphere has been created. The two-week-long Thai festival at the hypermarket in Koramangala will highlight Thai cuisine, culture and tourism.

The event is being organised in association with the Tourism authority of Thailand.

Recipes

The outlet has stocked a wide variety of culinary delights for the festival.

It includes an assortment of recipes that offer Thai food lovers a great experience.

A major attraction for the shoppers during the food fest would be the live culinary shows by Thai chefs, who will demonstrate the use of their products for those who wish to experiment with their palates.

The store will also showcase a collection of home accessories and garments.

Mood

The ambience of the store has also been given a new look by setting up Thai huts and satin drapes, which help to create a replica of the Land of Smiles.

Major focus

Thailand tourism would also be a major focus area of the festival. Kiosks have been set up inside the stores to assist eager travellers on the nuances of Thai tourism. Customers of Spencer’s can also win special travel packages to Thailand.

The success of this festival would also spur three such fests that Spencer’s is planning before the end of the year.
