Applications sought for speed post agents

TIRUCHI: Department of Posts has invited applications from eligible candidates for appointment as outsourced collection agents for speed post.

In a press release issued here on Thursday, Senior Superintendent of Post Offices, Tiruchi Division, M. Palanisamy, listed the following eligibilities: a minimum qualification of a pass in Plus Two; spoken and written abilities in Tamil and English; driving licence (ownership of two-wheeler and four-wheeler would be an added advantage); and possession of a landline or mobile phone.

Two per cent commission on each postal transaction would be paid as remuneration on a monthly basis. Application forms could be obtained from Tiruchi Head Post Office and the Post Offices at Teppakulam, Tiruchi Fort, Jamal Mohamed College, Ponmalai, Thennur, Thillai Nagar, Woraiyur, Tiruverumbur and BHEL.

Filled in forms must reach the Senior Superintendent of Post Offices, Tiruchi Division, Tiruchi – 620001 on or before July 31. Selected candidates will have to deposit Rs. 10,000 in postal savings account.
