KURNOOL: A 11-year-old girl who was allegedly abducted by a gang as her parents failed to repay loan was rescued here on Thursday. Tejaswini, a fifth standard student of Sahara English Medium School at Dwaraka Nagar in Hyderabad was abducted five months ago by the gang as her parents had defaulted on repayment of a loan. According to reports, her father Laxman Kumar Goud, a businessman borrowed Rs. 2.5 lakh from a few people at Kurukunda near Atmakur and failed to repay the same. To exert pressure on Goud, the gang allegedly abducted the girl and detained her in the house of one Bhaskar here. Member of an NGO -- Swadhara Shelter Home -- who learnt about the abduction, lodged a complaint with the Fourth Town police on Thursday following which she was rescued by the police. The parents of the girl who were in deep financial trouble failed to secure release of the girl.
