DRO to conduct probe on accidents
VIRUDHUNAGAR: District Revenue Officer V. Malarvizhi will hold separate enquiries into accidents that occurred at three fireworks units in the district. The first enquiry would be held at 10 a.m. on July 7 at the Virudhunagar Taluk Office into the January 3 accident at Sudarshan Fire Works of Keezhatiruthangal.
The DRO will also hold an enquiry into the March 14 accident at Arya Fire Works, Maraneri, and the May 9 accident at Suryakala Fireworks, Vijayarangapuram of Sivakasi taluk, on July 10 forenoon. People who have knowledge about the accidents and wish to tender evidence should register themselves with the Personal Assistant (General) to the Collector on or before July 1. People who do not register their names can also appear in person to tender evidence
