Jaswant may get reprieve in opium case

Jodhpur: The former Union Minister, Jaswant Singh, and nine other BJP leaders are likely to get a clean chit in a case of serving opium.

The Crime Branch of the Rajasthan Police, which investigated the case, has concluded its probe as neither any opium was found nor the allegation of its serving and consumption at a public feast in Singh’s village near Jasol in Barmer district of the State on October 31 last year could be proved, police sources said on Thursday.
