First Hindi film preview sin the city

Staff Reporter

Bangalore: Radio One held a preview of the Hindi film “Via Darjeeling” at the PVR multiplex in the city on Wednesday.

Star-studded

The preview saw some of the actors in the film, including Vinay Pathak and Parvin Dabbas, besides director Arindam Nandy, attending the screening. This is the first time a Hindi movie is being showcased in Bangalore before being publicly screened anywhere else in the country, according to the producers of the film.

On the tie-up with Radio One, Mr. Nandy said, “Radio One is a station that plays Bollywood music, hence we thought the selection of this channel more appropriate.”

Tickets won

Over 10 days, the radio channel in the city invited listeners to participate in a contest and the winners won tickets to the screening and entry passes to a post-screening party with the stars.

In all, 200 tickets were given away as prizes.

Radio One will also hold screenings of the film in Delhi and Mumbai over the next few days.
