Jeweller sentenced

KULITHALAI: The Kulithalai Sub Judge Elangovan has sentenced jewellery shop owner and DMK councillor for Ward 20 in Kulithalai Municipality Rajkumar to three years imprisonment in connection with the death of his employee two years back.

It is said that Rajkumar had scolded V. Selvam of Thiruppanjeeli in Tiruchi district after he detected reduction in weight of gold jewellery given to Selvam for polishing. Selvam ended his life and Rajkumar was prosecuted.
