Training programme

VILLUPURAM: Resource persons of M.V. Hospital for Diabetes and Research Centre, Royapuram, on Friday conducted a training programme for government medical officers here on early detection of diabetes.

The programme was conducted under the supervision of Deputy Directors (Health) Krishnaraj (Villupuram) and Geeta (Kallakurichi). A statement said that it was a cause of concern that 16 per cent of the urban population and six per cent of the rural population suffered from diabetes.
