Chandigarh: Haryana Cooperative Supply and Marketing Federation has entered global markets of Basmati Rice by exporting 626.5 metric tones to Australia and Saudi Arabia. Out of 626.5 metric tones, 69 metric tonnes of Superior Basmati Rice have been exported to Australia and 557.5 metric tons of Pusa Basmati have been exported to Saudi Arabia, Cooperation Minister, Harmohinder Singh Chatha said on Friday. Haryana Cooperative Supply and Marketing Federation (HAFED) is further exploring the possibilities of entering other international markets, he said , adding that rice was exported to Australia and Saudi Arabia after a gap of five years.
