Addressing presspersons at the party office here on Friday, he said that several demands of the teachers were pending for long and they needed to be addressed. He said that high school teachers were demanding revision of pay scale. Teachers working in Job Oriented Courses (JOC) too were demanding regularisation of their jobs, he said Dr. Shivayogiswamy said that though Chief Minister B.S. Yeddyurappa during his tenure as Finance Minister in the erstwhile government, had given an ex-gratia of Rs. 250 to high school teachers, a revision of pay scale was required. Self-employmentTo encourage self-employment among jobless graduates, the Government in its manifesto, had already mentioned of providing vocational training for an year when a stipend would be paid to students, he said. “I would pressure the Government to implement the scheme soon,” he added.
