Three of family commit suicide

SIRSI: Three members of a family committed suicide by consuming poison at Kudle beach in Gokarna on Thursday.

They are Chenne Gowda (65), his wife, Prabha (55) and their son-in-law Manohar (35) of H. Kodihalli in Mandya district. Manohar’s wife, Rohini (30), who also consumed poison, survived. She has been admitted to Karwar Civil Hospital.

Chenne Gowda’s family reportedly lived on money sent by his son, Roshan, who is a software engineer in the U.S. No money arrived during the past few months. — Correspondent
