Talking about Chiru’s party is not proper: Naidu

Correspondent

VIZIANAGARAM: The Telugu Desam is ready to face elections whenever they are conducted, party president N. Chandrababu Naidu said on Friday.

“It is not proper to talk about Chiranjeevi’s political party. The TDP is against making irresponsible statements even on hypothetical questions,” he told reporters at Makkuva, about 80 km from here.

On Chief Minister Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy’s claim that the Congress would win 230 Assembly and 36 Lok Sabha seats in the next elections, he shot back, “why should people vote for the Congress? Is it because that price of essentials soared? Is it because the lands of the poor farmers were acquired in the name of projects and industries?”

The Congress had won only one of the four Lok Sabha seats in Telangana, against its claim of a clean sweep.
