KOCHI: The Bhavan’s Schools Parents’ Association is planning to initiate legal measures against the registrar of Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan, Kochi Kendra, for allegedly causing mental trauma to a student. The registrar had issued a circular among the students and parents of Bhavan’s Munshi Vidyashram, Thiruvankulam, warning against ‘destructive’ activities similar to the one carried out by the parent of this student. The association claimed that the majority of the parents realised that the school had not yet received the affiliation of the CBSE only after it was mentioned in the circular. The registrar, Kochi Kendra, who issued the circular, in a press release said that a section of the parents were misrepresenting the facts. “We (Bhavan’s Munshi Vidyashram, Thiruvankulam) have been trying hard for getting affiliation for the past few years and an inspection by the CBSE is imminent. “It is at this time that a few parents sent a letter to the CBSE containing false information which will adversely affect the chances of our getting affiliation,” the release said. The release stated that the circular was meant to bring to the notice of the parents “the harm being caused by these few parents.”
