Youth fatally knocked down

TAMBARAM: A 19-year-old youth died after the motorcycle he was riding was hit by an unknown vehicle on Velachery Main Road in Pallikaranai on Friday.
According to the police, S. Siddharth, resident of Narayanapuram in Pallikaranai, was a second year student of an arts and science college in Sholinganallur.
He was coming home from college when an unknown vehicle hit him at 2.30 p.m.
He was taken to a private hospital in Pallikaranai, where he succumbed to injuries later.
The Pallikaranai police conducted preliminary investigations and registered a case before transferring it to Tambaram Traffic Police (Investigation).
