India in 10th position

BANGALORE: India moved up two places to be 10th on the ladder after the third round of the World junior golf tournament at Nagoya, Japan.

The team’s chances of a podium finish however seem very unlikely as it lay 24 strokes behind current leader Norway. Overnight leader England slipped to second position seven strokes behind Norway.

Norway now has a three day total of 618 (21 under). England’s total is 625 (14 under) and Korea, Australia and Sweden are in tied third position 627 (12 under).

Chikkarangappa Seenappa provided some cheer to the Indian contingent with his second sub par score in the tournament. Chikkarangappa carded 69 (two under) for the third round and was in tied ninth position. USA’s Bud Cauley led the individual scores with a three round total of 11 under.
