Maoists kill BJP Sarpanch

Raipur: A group of armed Maoists have killed a BJP Sarpanch in Rajnandgaon district, officials said on Saturday. Mohbhata Sarpanch of Mohla Police Station area, Mangia Ram Hurra, was dragged out from his house by a group of armed Maoists on Friday and was shot dead from a point blank range, Rajnandgaon police sources told PTI. Chief Minister Raman Singh condemned the killing of the public representative of his native district and said the incident had exposed the anti-democratic face of the Maoists.
