PDS rice seized

METTUR: Food cell personnel seized 40 bags of rice meant for supply under the Public Distribution System in Kolathur on Saturday. Sources said the personnel conducted a vehicle check up and intercepted a jeep proceeding to Karnataka. They found 40 bags of PDS rice in it and arrested Nagaraj (21) for smuggling the rice. Further investigation is on.
