Ryots attack fertilizer shop

ADILABAD: Tension prevailed for about two hours at Narnoon mandal headquarter village on Saturday as farmers attacked a private fertilizer shop alleging the owner had beaten up a farmer who had come to purchase fertilizer.
Demanding arrest of the alleged accused by the police, farmers staged a sit in in front of the shop that had been forcibly closed down by the agitators.
According to information, farmers were in a queue since morning to purchase DAP at the shop.
However, sale of one bag of the fertilizer per farmer made the farmers resort to a protest.
As verbal exchanges took place between the owner and the farmers, it was alleged that a farmer was beaten up.
Police intervened and rescued the owner from the wrath of the farmers.
