Hearing of pending cases

BANGALORE: The Karnataka High Court on Friday said that cases pending in the court as on June 20 (except public interest litigation (PIL) petitions, company petitions, company applications and company appeals) pertaining to the districts of Bagalkot, Bellary, Belgaum, Dharwad, Gadag, Haveri, Karwar and Koppal would be heard at the Circuit Bench in Dharwad. All pending cases, except PILs and company cases, from the districts of Bidar, Bijapur, Gulbarga and Raichur would be heard at the Circuit Bench in Gulbarga, it said. Notifications relating to this issue have been sent to the office of the Advocate-General, Karnataka State Bar Council, Advocates Association of Bangalore and of districts that come under the jurisdiction of the Benches. kar.nic.in. The notification says that supplementary lists of cases filed from June 21 to July 5, and which are to be heard in the Circuit Benches at Dharwad and Gulbarga will be published shortly. The High Court has declared July 4 as a non-sitting day. The court will sit on June 28.
