Felicitating the new office-bearers, Peter Barnabas, state secretary of Tamil Nadu Government Employees Association (TNGEA), said that steps should be taken to enhance the salary of village health nurses considerably during the next pay revision.

All sorts of pressures from politicians over the nurses should be discouraged, for their effective functioning.
