BANGALORE: The National rowing championship ended the penultimate day with the finalists being spotted in various categories. In the Challenger men’s single scull event, Karnataka’s Venkat Reddy topped the heats with Kerala’s Tibin Thomas occupying the second spot and Engineers’ Angrej Singh finishing third. The final of this event will be held on Sunday along with eleven other finals. In the Challenger men’s fours, Engineers’ squad of Gurmeet Singh, C. Gobi, S. Nishanth and Harjinder Singh won the qualifying beating Karnataka’s squad of Y. Srinivasa Rao, Senthil Kumar, S. Abhilash and Y. Nagadurga Rao. Punjab’s foursome of Anil Kumar, Sukhdev Singh, Vinod Kumar and Ranjit Singh also qualified for the title round.
