HMA annual awards presented

HYDERABAD: Mahendra Agarwal, managing director and CEO, GATI Ltd, bagged the ‘Entrepreneur of the Year Award’ at the 36th annual Hyderabad Management Association-2008 function held here on Saturday. The ‘Manager of the Year Award’ is not being presented this year.

Habil F. Khorakiwala, chairman and managing director, Wockhardt Ltd, gave away the awards.

Important awardees

The other winners are: Surabhi Sathya Sekhar, chairman and managing director, Calibre Technologies Pvt Ltd (‘Small Scale Entrepreneur), Krishna G. Bodanapu, senior vice-president, (manufacturing), Infotech Enterprises (‘Young Manager’), Lekha Sishta, vice-president, (HR and talent management), Sum Total Systems India Pvt Ltd (‘HR manager’), B. Krishnamurthy, vice-president and location head, Wipro Technologies, Hyderabad (‘IT Professional’) K.I. Varaprasad Reddy, managing director, Shanta Biotechnics Ltd (‘Life time Achievement Award’) and C. Sudhir Babu, life member, company secretary in practices, CSB Associates and vice-president, HMA (‘Member of the Year’).

Each award-winner received a trophy and a certificate.

Earlier, Amar Chegu, president of the association, welcomed the gathering which included some of the top industrialists and management experts of the city.
