Port seeks rail siding

TUTICORIN: The Tuticorin Port Trust has requested the Railways to establish a separate rail siding in the Hare Island area, where it will shortly set up a warehouse zone for storing bulk cargo.

A. Subbiah, Deputy Chairman of the Tuticorin Port Trust, made the plea at a meeting between Southern Railway General Manager Rakesh Chopra and officials of the port here on Friday.
