DMDK worker killed in attack

VILLUPURAM: A Desiya Murpokku Dravida Kazhagam functionary, C. Rajendran, was killed on Friday night by a group of persons.

According to the police, Rajendran and E. Elumalai, also a DMDK activist, were walking towards their houses at Karapattu when they were attacked. Mr. Elumalai escaped. Rajendran was thrashed. He was rushed to the Villupuram Government Hospital and then referred to a Chennai hospital.

He died on the way.

The police have arrested P. Venkatesan. — Special Correspondent
