First private medical college in West Bengal

KOLKATA: The first private medical college in West Bengal is being set up by the U.S.-based KPC Healthcare Services and Facilities on the southern fringes of the city. About Rs. 300 crore has already been invested and the cost is likely to touch Rs. 500 crore, K.P. Chaudhuri, chairman of the KPC Group of companies, said here on Saturday.

“We have secured the Medical Council of India approval to admit 150 students annually for the MBBS course,” he said.
