Chetan wins Nepal Open

HYDERABAD: National champion Chetan Anand won the Nepal Open badminton championship defeating another Indian J.B.S. Vidyadhar 21-14, 21-7 in the final in Kathmandu on Saturday.

Chetan’s wife, Jwala Gutta and V. Diju picked up the mixed doubles title, getting the better of Shruti Kurien and Vidhyadar 21-11, 21-14.

Later, Jwala completed a double winning the women’s doubles title along with Sruthi. They registered a 21-6, 21-7 win over Jyothsna and Anjali in the final.
