Volleyball
CHENNAI: The International Volleyball Federation (FIVB) has allotted a Challenger Series beach volleyball championship (men and women) for the first time to India and this prestigious event will be organised in Chennai from July 15 to 20. A release from VFI said that the Challenger Series championship is a World-ranking event where players in the top 32 ranks only are entitled to take part. The prize money in each section is $ 40,000. The venue could be the Marina beach or the Elliots beach (Besant Nagar).
