Anandraj defeats Abinay, enters last four

CHENNAI: R. Anandraj (AKG) defeated V. Abinay (YMCA-Kilpauk) 11-6, 11-7, 11-8, 11-2 in a sub-junior boys’ quarterfinal contest of the Tristar third State-ranking table tennis tournament, here on Saturday.

Umapathy sizzles

Umapathy scored 74 and picked up three wickets as Asiatic beat KUN Hyundai by 31 runs in the final of the KUN Hyundai ACE Trophy recently.

Vengatachalam advances
