KOCHI: “Take immense precaution before you go to the U.S. to work on an H2B visa,” Anannya Bhattacharjee, international coordinator of Jobs With Justice, warns Indians looking for jobs in the U.S.She notes that there has been an upswing in the number of Indians, going to the U.S. on the H2B visa. Most H2B-visa workers do not realise that they are not entitled for a green card in the future, she said. Ms. Bhattacharjee was in Kochi recently to organise the families of some 200 Malayalis who were among the 560 Indian blue-collar workers who had been duped.
