Three lakes surveyed

BANGALORE: Officials of the Forest Department officials have conducted a survey of three water bodies of Bangalore-Hebbal, Agara and Nagavara lakes — which have been leased by the Lake Development Authority (LDA) to private entrepreneurs. A team of officials, including the Principal Chief Conservator of Forests (PCCF), Deputy Conservator of Forests (DCF-Urban), Bangalore, LDA officials and expert ornithologists conducted a study of the three lakes. The team has prepared a status report on the lakes and it is slated to be filed before the Karnataka High Court. — Staff Reporter
