Water level

MADURAI: Water level in Periyar dam was 131.50 feet (136 feet) with no inflow and a discharge of 475 cusecs.

The level in Vaigai dam was 62.73 feet (71 feet) with no inflow and a discharge of 941 cusecs. The combined Periyar credit stood at 5,570 mcft.

Thaniyamangalam recorded 69 mm of rainfall followed by Sittampatti and Melur 4 mm each, Sothuparai dam 3 and Periyar dam 2.
