Vijay Mandal, servant of a neighbour of Dr. Talwar, still being questioned Dr. Talwar’s bail application is scheduled to come up for hearing on June 26 NEW DELHI: Krishna, the compounder of Rajesh Talwar, will be produced in a special court in Ghaziabad after his six days’ police remand ends on Monday. The Central Bureau of Investigation may seek further extension of his remand. The agency believes that Krishna, who was arrested for his alleged involvement in the Aarushi-Hemraj murder, might help them tie up the loose ends of the case. The CBI had sought Krishna’s remand from the court to help recover the weapon of offence and the mobile phones of Aarushi and Hemraj. Stating that Krishna had confessed to his complicity in the case, the CBI had said that Hemraj had asked Krishna to get him a “khukri” (dagger) and he supplied the “khukri” to him. The agency also found that Krishna had met Hemraj on the night of the murders. However, the CBI has reportedly not been able to corroborate all the facts disclosed by Krishna during his narco-analysis test at the Forensic Science Laboratory in Bangalore. Meanwhile, the agency is awaiting a report on the forensic examination of the “khukri” seized from Krishna’s residence to find out if it had been used to commit the murders. It has not given a clean chit to either Dr. Talwar or Raj Kumar, the domestic help of the dentist’s family friends Durranis. Vijay Mandal, the servant of a neighbour of Dr. Talwar, is still being questioned. On Sunday, Dr. Talwar’s wife Nupur met him at Dasna jail in Ghaziabad where he is lodged in judicial custody. His bail application is scheduled to come up for hearing in a Sessions court on June 26.
