Kanpur: A man allegedly murdered his lover before committing suicide in Kanpur district of Uttar Pradesh on Sunday. Jai Singh of Bayana village in Kanpur district had illicit relations with a neighbour and was apparently miffed over her closeness to other men. He stabbed the woman after a quarrel and later consumed a poisonous substance, superintendent of police N. Ravindra said. The bodies had been sent for post-mortem.
