Youth killed in road accident

TAMBARAM: A 21-year-old youth died on the spot and his friend hospitalised when the motorcycle they were riding rammed into a post on the median of Grand Southern Trunk Road in Pallavaram on Sunday evening.
A resident of R.V. Nagar in Jafferkhanpet, K. Raji was working in a silver lathe unit in Mint Street.
He had come to Tambaram to attend the wedding of a relative along with Vinod, a 17-year-old Plus One student of a government school in Saidapet. They were returning home on a motorcycle when Raji is reported to have lost control of the vehicle.
He died instantly, while Vinod who sustained serious injuries, is undergoing treatment.
