SIRSI:The former Minister, H.K. Patil, brought a High Court Bench to North Karnataka. He has done a lot as Irrigation Minister to Karnataka and a simple and experienced man such as Mr. Patil should be in the Legislative Council, said the former Minister, R.V. Deshpande, at the NGO Hall in Karwar on Saturday. He was addressing a graduates meeting and sought votes for Mr. Patil to be elected for the fifth time to the Council in the election to be held on June 26. There is no BJP wave in this election. Graduates should not be misguided by propaganda. Mr. Patil has fought against injustice to graduates whenever it was found, he said. Karwar MLA Anand Asnotikar and MLC Shubhalata Asnotikar also sought support for Mr. Patil.
