Delhi Transco profits go up

NEW DELHI: Delhi Transco Limited has registered a 48 per cent increase in its profit after taxes during the financial year 2007-08. According to Transco officials, this is the first time the undertaking has made operating profits.

The net worth of the company also turned positive during the financial year 2007-08. “During 2007-08 the company achieved a complete turnaround from an entity with huge accumulated losses in 2004-05 to a company meeting all the financial standards for mini-ratna category company,” it said in a statement.
