MCD appoints Wipro as consultant

New Delhi: The Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD) on Monday said it has appointed software giant Wipro as consultant for its e-governance initiatives.

The Corporation is aiming at turning its administration into a paperless one as it shifts its headquarters to the new Civic Centre building here before the end of this year, MCD Standing Committee Chairman Vijender Gupta said.

He said care would be taken to make the public interface of the MCD portal and solutions more user-friendly.
