BANGALORE: Karnataka bagged the men’s title in the South Zone senior National kho-kho championship, which concluded at the Hombegowdanagar Stadium here on Sunday. Karnataka beat Andhra Pradesh in the final 17-11 (leading 10-6 at the half time) with C.R. Santhosh (6pts) being the top scorer for Karnataka. In the women’s section, Puducherry beat Telangana by an innings and 11 points to lift the title. Sathyavani scored four points for Pondicherry. Other results: Men: AP bt Puducherry 14-13; Telangana bt Tamil Nadu 23-12; Karnataka bt AP 17-11. Women: Karnataka bt TN 13-3; Karnatak bt Telangana 25-4; Puducherry bt AP 9-7. The final standings: Men: 1. Karnataka, 2. AP, 3. Puducherry. Women: 1. Puducherry, 2. Karnataka and AP (tied).
