Workshop for teachers held School notes

An orientation workshop was organised recently for teachers of the Seventh Day Adventist Higher Secondary School, Kaloor. This was aimed at making teaching more effective , said school principal Rosamma Mathew. The programme will be frequently reviewed to ensure optimum results.

The Bhavan’s Varuna Vidyalaya, Trikkakkara, played host to the inaugural leg of The Enquire Quiz League. Fifty-six teams from nine schools participated in the event, principal Sunitha S. said. Twelve quizzes spread over the entire academic year have been planned. The team with the maximum points at the end of the league will be crowned the best in Kochi.

The house-wise literal and cultural competitions of Toc-H Public School, Vytilla have started, signalling the beginning of extra-curricular activities at the school. It began with the hosting of talent day, aimed at screening newcomers to identify their talents in different fields. The school’s science club will soon be activated.

A talent hunt was launched at Al Ameen Public School, Edapally, to identify newcomer students with talents in different fields. They will be given training in areas of their interest and personality development. The school will play host to a cartoon camp in July.
