CPI dharna
Activists of the Communist Party of India (CPI) staged a dharna in front of the Muthyalampadu 33/11 kv sub-station, demanding improvement of power supply to areas under it. The agitators led by CPI city secretary K. Subba Raju and party floor leader in the VMC general body P. Gowtham Reddy raised slogans to condemn the erratic supply of power to areas under the sub-station.
A memorandum submitted by them to the assistant engineer concerned said that the public were being put to a lot of inconvenience because of the frequent breakdowns and the unannounced ‘load shedding’.
Former corporator Avanigadda Sunita and others participated.
