FRC representatives attend workshop

BERHAMPUR: More than 200 Forest Rights Committee (FRC) representatives from 97 villages of Gajapati district submitted 3,107 claims to Sub-Collector Harekrushna Behera at Paralakhemundi on Monday. These forest rights activists also attended a workshop organised by SWSS, a local NGO. The sub-collector urged the FRCs to cooperate the officials so that they could get their deserved rights as per the law. The doubts of participants regarding Forest Act were clarified by the officials present in the meeting.
