New courses in fashion technology

Bangalore: The Ministry of Textiles, Regional Office of the Textile Commissioner, and the Indian Institute Fashion Technology, Bangalore, have entered into a Memorandum of Understanding and are conducting four one-year Diploma/Advanced Diploma/Post Graduate Diploma courses in fashion and apparel technology, a press release said.
The course in Fashion Designing and Boutique Management has been devised to provide both practical and theoretical inputs on the aspects of fashion designing as well as business development. The Apparel Manufacturing and Merchandising course will enable students to gain technical and managerial skills.
