Advocate to hold producers’ council polls

CHENNAI: The Madras High Court has appointed a senior advocate as Election Officer (EO) to conduct the elections for the Tamil Film Producers’ Council.
He will be assisted by two advocates.
The Election Officer and his assistants were permitted to take police help during the elections and during the counting of votes.
Mr. Justice Ramasubramanian appointed R.Yashod Vardhan, senior advocate as EO to conduct the elections. He would be assisted by I.Chandrakumar and V.Parthiban.
The court permitted the EO to videograph the polling and counting of votes.
