Govt. will survive full term: Raghuvansh
Special Correspondent
NEW DELHI: Union Rural Development Minister and Rashtriya Janata Dal leader Raghuvansh Prasad Singh on Monday said that the government would survive full term as no one wanted early elections. He said talks were going on among allies and believed consensus would ultimately prevail as none of the MPs want elections. General elections would be held as per schedule, he told reporters.
Responding to queries over lack of unanimity among the UPA, that had ultimately led the Left leaders seek Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M. Karunanidhi’s intervention to end the impasse on the Indo-U.S. nuclear deal, Mr. Singh said that in a democratic set-up, views of elders are taken.
