Sessions on different subjects like noting and drafting and Hindi correspondence were conducted VISAKHAPATNAM: A Hindi workshop was organised for 30 employees who passed Hindi Prabodh, Praveen and Pragya examinations, conducted by the Department of Official Language, Ministry of Home Affairs, at BHPV on Tuesday. Manager (HR) of Dredging Corporation of India G. Ramanarayana, who inaugurated the workshop, spoke about the freedom fighters from other States, who used Hindi as their medium of expression. He highlighted the contribution made by stalwarts such as Gopalaswamy Iyengar, Subrahmanya Bharati and Pattababhi Seetharamaiah. He also emphasised on the use of simple Hindi as far as possible at the workplace. Deputy General Manager (HR) and Chairman of BHPV Official Language Implementation Committee DVS Murthy presided over the function. He explained the progress made by BHPV on the implementation of the official language. Sessions on different subjects like noting and drafting, Official Language Act, rules and methods of Hindi correspondence were conducted by eminent faculty from Hindi Teaching Scheme of the Government of India. Senior Manager (Production) P.M. Lakshmaiah distributed certificates to the participants. Manager (Personnel and Administration) S.V. Subba Rao and Hindi Officer S.A. Rasheed spoke.
