CHENNAI: A special team from the North Zone police on Tuesday seized 150 foreign liquor bottles from a godown on Second Line Beach in the city. Two persons were arrested in this connection.
Police said Bose (45) and Mohan (38) of Netaji Nagar in R.K.Nagar, who had taken the godown on rent, used to get foreign liquor bottles from passengers disembarking at the Chennai Port and also used to buy from Kerala. They sold the liquor bottles at a premium.
The seized liquor bottles were handed over to the Prohibition Enforcement Wing police.
